Greetings. I'm Eric Montross, founder of Illuminertia, Arcturian Dream & Macroshift Media. I created this so that I could effectively reach out and find other creative people who would like to produce educational, uplifiting, entertaining, and paradigm shifting media. My ultimate goal is to help other thought leaders, wellness practictioners and anyone else who wants to empower people and planet. The following is a snapshot of my experience, some of the work I've done, and how I might be able to assist you with crafting powerful & engaging stories in support of your project.
Film and music production have been a passion of mine since I was little. I edited my first snowboard video when I was 10 years old. Later in life I ended up doing videography work for episodes of The World Is Sound, a travel channel about world music produced by Jef Stott. Since 2020 I also shot most of the footage for the RiseUP TV reality series. Since June of 2025 my personal brand Macroshift Media has grown to over 250,000 followers and the animated reels have received over 25 million views and counting. I've written two feature length scripts and I love collaborating with other producers who have big visions and goals. I gained a lot of my technical knowledge through teaching multimedia in the Bay Area for 12 years, starting the music collective (ILLUMINERTIA) and my video production company Macroshift Media (founded in 2015). In 2019 I cofounded an essential oils company called Ancient Antidotes LLC, where I designed the entire brand from the ground up using Adobe CC. Now I've adapted to the times and I also utilize all the latest in AI content creation.
Through these experiences I started to understand the power of captivating media and how we can use digital tools to tell stories, communicate, and deliever a meaningful message to the world. There are so many amazing design possibilities I've discovered through utilizing programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, and now all the most powerful AI solutions that exist. With these tools I've created dozens of album covers, hundreds of documentary shorts & music videos throughout my lifetime. Other aspects of design & content creation I've worked on are (ie..logos, pitch decks, slideshows, commercials, tutorials, brand guides, color palettes, posters, flyers, social media management, and Facebook ads.
Throughout my life I've been deeply inspired by the music, film, personal growth, wellness, and visionary art world. At the time of writing this over 20 independent records have been created under the trademarked name Illuminertia which was formed San Francisco in 2005. Currently I reside in Portland, Oregon where I've DJ'd many ecstatic dance events, engineered recordings, directed music videos, documentary films, stop motion shorts, and other multimedia productions. I'm also currently performing live as Arcturian Dream. I also have some experience writing scripts, including a feature length film.
I've worked on musical productions with a diverse array of artists including members the grammy award winning Digable Planets. Some of the artists I've collaborated on recordings with are: Evan Fraser (Dirtwire), Govinda, Heartwurkz, Saqi & Diamonde, Bubba Jones bassist of the Digable Planets, Earl Harvin the drummer of Air, Seasunz of Bassnectar & Earth Amplified, Scrote the guitarist of the Stripminers, Salar Nader the world renowned tabla master, Bongo Sidibe of Dogon Lights, Tommy the bassist of Jazz Mafia, Little Star, Jef Stott, Emani, and Rob Schrock (music director for 72nd Academy Awards). Rob is a hugely accomplished pianist who's played on countless hit albums we've all grown up listening to.
As far as my educational background goes I have an M.F.A. in Media Design from Full Sail University. There I learned about how to create a brand from concept all the way through final iterations of labels, brochures, commercials and web design. At the College of San Mateo I studied the craft of video editing with Adobe Premiere. Other educational background includes earning a certificate for Music for Film & TV from Berklee College of Music. I also studied directing though a course offered by Ron Howard and an acting course by Natalie Portman. I love doing sketch comedy and documentary shorts.
As far as marketing goes I've gained an in depth knowledge of the following: facebook, tiktok & twitter ad campaigns (26,000+ fans within 2 weeks), landing pages, Click Funnels, Wordpress sites, writing compelling copy, content marketing and designing a cohesive brand identity. I have had an instagram video reach over 5 million views and counting.
Those who know me would describe me as friendly, creative and very motivated to help out. I like to meet goals, deadlines and challenges with a positive attitude. I'm usually able to inspire others to do the same. I want to bring strong leadership, empathy and interpersonal skills to the table as well. In 2014 I started an online educational site called Leadership Mindset Network, which was a blog designed to inspire and empower budding social-preneurs.
