Eric Montross is a multidisciplinary filmmaker, media designer, and music producer dedicated to helping creators, visionaries, and mission-driven organizations bring transformative stories to life. As the founder of Illuminertia, Arcturian Dream, and Macroshift Media, his work centers on elevating ideas that educate, uplift, and shift collective consciousness. His mission is simple: use the power of film, music, and design to help others inspire the world.
Eric’s creative journey began early, editing his first snowboard film at age ten, and has evolved into a lifelong devotion to multimedia storytelling. He has contributed videography to The World Is Sound, a global music travel series by Jef Stott, and shot the majority of footage for the RiseUP TV reality series. Through Macroshift Media, his animated and cinematic reels have reached more than 30 million viewers and attracted a rapidly growing global audience, giving thought leaders and wellness practitioners a powerful platform to reach the people they serve.
With experience spanning two feature-length scripts, dozens of music videos, hundreds of documentary-style shorts, and multiple festival-selected stop-motion films, Eric brings both artistic imagination and technical mastery to every collaboration. His twelve years of multimedia teaching in the Bay Area instilled an ability to simplify complex ideas into meaningful, emotionally engaging visual stories—an essential skill for brands, teachers, and creators aiming to connect with their audiences more deeply.
Eric’s background includes founding Ancient Antidotes LLC, where he designed an entire essential oils brand from the ground up, attracting early investment and national attention. He brings this same design philosophy to client work, blending intuitive storytelling with meticulous craftsmanship across logos, pitch decks, color palettes, album art, commercials, tutorials, brand identity systems, and high-impact social media campaigns. His toolkit spans Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, Lightroom, Dragonframe, and the emerging frontier of AI-enhanced creative tools.
As a lifelong student of art, wellness, and human potential, Eric has produced more than 20 albums under his trademarked project Illuminertia, DJ’d ecstatic dance events, performed as Arcturian Dream, engineered recordings, and collaborated with a wide range of acclaimed artists, including members of the Grammy Award-winning Digable Planets, Evan Fraser (Dirtwire), Govinda, Heartwurkz, Saqi & Diamonde, Earl Harvin (Air), and Rob Schrock, music director of the 72nd Academy Awards.
His formal training includes an M.F.A. in Media Design from Full Sail University, a Music for Film & TV certificate from Berklee College of Music, directing studies with Ron Howard, and acting studies with Natalie Portman. These experiences shaped his holistic understanding of story, from the emotional arc to the visual grammar to the sonic landscape.
Beyond artistry, Eric has deep experience in digital marketing, developing effective strategies across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, landing pages, funnels, and website optimization. His campaigns have generated tens of thousands of new fans within weeks, proving his ability to not only create powerful content but help it find an audience.
Above all, Eric is driven by service. Those who work with him describe him as warm, collaborative, grounded, and deeply committed to helping others amplify their message. He believes that art and media can shift culture for the better, and he aims to partner with creators who share that vision. He welcomes collaborations with filmmakers, producers, wellness leaders, musicians, authors, educators, and anyone seeking to craft powerful stories that uplift the human spirit. For those looking to bring meaningful, cinematic, and emotionally resonant media into the world, Eric offers both the creative vision and technical experience to help make that possible.
